Hitchcocks Thrillers
Hitchcock said that 'the only way to get rid of my fears is to make films about them' so he often put his fears into the films he made to sort of overcome being scared of them. Hitchcock also said that 'if it's a good movie, the sound could go off but the audience would still have a perfectly clear idea of what is going on' so he always made his films more visual, so the viewers would still know what is happening in the film if there was no sound too this.
'Always make the audience suffer as much as possible' Hitchcock always made his movies as psychologocal as possible to make the audience as psychologically scared as possible by making them create an image in their head what is going to happen. The human mind always expects the worst naturally.

Ciff Hangers
Theses are not used all the time in thriller films but usually something a shocking dilemma happens to the main character of the films. This makes sure the audience keeps watching as they want to know what is going to happen to the person stuck in the dilemma. This is usually used at the end of a film when theres is going to be a second film or anyother part.
Red herrings
Red Herrings are used to divert the audience from the thruth this makes them think they know whats going on or whats going to happen when really the completely opposite is happening. This technique could also be use to create tension and suspense. For example this is used in the film Psycho as you dont see the mother the whole film you only hear her voice this makes you assume that the mother is the one behind all of these myserious deaths when really its her son. Using this would really shock and impress the viewers.
Psycho
In our media lessons we watch a lot of thrillers to help us get ideas for our Thriller beggining we will be making soon, and one of the thrillers we have recently watched was 'Psycho' and old famous thriller film, directed by famous thriller director Alfred HItchcock. This film starred janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins. Psycho recieve a lot of mixed reviews, but mostly good as this was new for people. Norman blames his 'ill mother' for all of the dissapearances going on but in the end it was only him, he was the ill one keeping his dead mother in the house at the back of the Motel having conversations with himself about the crimes he has commited. In the end he gets found out but the damages have been done. In this film there is a very famous stabbing scene where Normans 'mother' stabbs Marion in the shower, then reappears as himself, acting shocked and discusted in his mother. Cleaning up the blood and body and hiding her and her belongings in the boot of her car and driving it into a lake around the corner to his house. Not a very smart move. During the stabbing scene there was very sharp music, this would make the viewer a little bit more scared.

Enigmas
An Enigma keeps the viewer guessing what is going on and they are trying to work out what is going on throughout the movie. Usually this is myserious or inexplicable. This could also be a riddle or a difficult problem.
Usually the protagonist has to work out this myserious riddle or problem by the end of a given time, or by the end of the film.

James bond
James bond is a good example of a thriller as there are lots of short stories with interesting story lines too them all. Bond often refered to himself as 007. As he is a british secret agent always 'saving the day'. These novels were first published in 1953 by Ian Flemming, as a big form of entertainment. There have been many different actors playing Bond. Our first Bond was Sean Connery and he played bond 7 times. The second bond was George Lazenby and he only played bond once. Our third bond was Roger Moore, and he played bond 7 times also. Timothy Dalton was the 4th bond actor and starred in the films twice. Now the 5th and best Bond in my opinion is Pierce Bronsnan who only starred in 4 of the Bond movies, And our last Bond for now is Daniel Craig who has only filmed 2 films so far.
All of our Bond have their dark hair, good looks and good dress sence in common. They also all have very pretty 'bond girls' to help them along the way with their throubles. Bond films are known for a lot of thigs such as the catchy music and the interesting action to keep you on the edge of your seats not knowing what is going to happen next. Making the viewer want to keep watching.
